Girls Day

Happy Tuesday! I'm getting ready to start my work week and thought I would share a little outfit from my weekend! I always love weekends where I get to see my family. I spent my Monday catching up with my momma, coloring her hair, and doing some shopping. She's definitely where I get my creative side from and I'm very blessed to have learned so much from her!

Braided Top Knot

A fun alternative to a regular top knot for a little more texture

Start with a basic high pony tail.

Divide your pony tail into two regular three-strand braids.

Wrap the braids around the base of your pony tail and secure with bobby pins.

Sunday is the day that definitely means sleeping in for me. So usually I'm looking for a easy, effortless look once I roll out of bed. Its so easy to slip on a cute dress, and dress it up with 2 simple things. Heels and a hat.

This striped dress is an oldie but goodie from H&M, it's not available anymore but you can find a similar one here. These are my all-time favorite heels. They're so comfortable they even get me through a 9 hour day at the salon. They are still available online you can find them here at Forever 21. I love my hats on days I'm skipping shampoo (and braids as you all know). It's also from Forever 21 and still available online, you can find it here. Sunday's are for catching up with family and friends, so who wants to waste it spending hours getting ready! Sleep in, and spend time with loved ones.. without losing your look.

Welcome back! I took a little break from the blog to focus on hair and building up my business, but I was missing it so much and here I am back to share with you my favorite products of the month!

This summer everyone's going crazy over "strobing".. which is basically just a new term for highlighting.

My favorite at the moment is Becca Cosmestics Shimmering Skin Perfector in Rose Gold. It's so luminous and adds the prettiest glow to your skin. Definitely a summer go to!

In the summer I'm all about my tinted moisturizers, but I was needing something full coverage for special events where I want to wear a little more make up. I picked up Becca Cosmetics Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme. This stuff is amazing! It has double the amount of pigmentation than the average foundation. It is great for covering up any flaws and imperfections. Make sure to start with primer before applying so that you get a flawless finish!

This next one isn't a new favorite but I haven't got to write about it yet. I'm 1000% OBSESSED with Anatasia Beverly Hills Dripbow Pomade. It will change your world. I'm all about eyebrows.... if that's you too then this is your product. It fills in your brows seamlessly, or helps you sculpt your desired shape. Fast-drying and water resistant... this stuff isn't going anywhere once you apply. A little goes a long way!
